Taylor Swift reveals she suffered from an eating disorder

Taylor Swift broke her silence about struggling with an eating disorder that she managed to overcome. The 30-year-old pop sensation claimed that unsolicited paparazzi photos played a major role in why she used to starve herself.

The singer candidly opened up about an eating disorder she previously hid from the public in the Netflix documentary based on her life, Taylor Swift: Miss Americana. The docufilm recently made its debut at the annual Sundance Film Festival held on Thursday.

Recalling the difficult time in her life when she stopped eating the singer said she would look at “a picture of me where I looked like my tummy was too big, or … someone said that I looked pregnant … and that’ll just trigger me to just starve a little bit, just stop eating.”

Swift’s eating disorder took a toll on her body as a singer when she noticed that it had affected how she performed on tours.

“I thought that I was supposed to feel like I was going to pass out at the end of the show, or in the middle of it,” she opened up in the film. “Now, I realize, no, if you eat food, have energy, get stronger, you can do all these shows and not feel [enervated].”

Now, the songstress has completely recovered and won the battle against her eating disorder. She revealed to Variety that she has come to terms with fitting into a size 6. Swift revealed that she had been a size double-zero at the time and saw nothing wrong with it.

Brexit is official as EU leaders ink UK’s withdrawal

European Commission and Council leaders Ursula von der Leyen and Charles Michel have signed that Withdrawal Agreement, making Brexit official since the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union back in 2016.

With Brexit finalized, UK will be exiting the EU on January 31. During a transition period that will last until the end of 2020, the UK will continue to abide by the EU’s policies. UK seeks to reach an agreement with the EU regarding futures ties by next year, 2021. After 46 years, Brexit has ended a span of 46 years with UK belonging in the EU club.

Von der Leyen shared the historic news on her official Twitter account where she wrote:

“Charles Michel and I have just signed the Agreement on the Withdrawal of the UK from the EU, opening the way for its ratification by the European Parliament.”

The Withdrawal Agreement was signed in Brussels, Belgium before it was taken to Downing Street by officials from the EU and the UK. There, it is signed by UK’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson. A copy of the said document will remain in London as the agreement will travel back to Brussels.

The European Parliament will vote in favor of it as a formality next week after the parliament’s constitutional affairs committee supported it on Thursday.

Von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, along with other senior EU officials have doubts about the UK government’s plan to work out a comprehensive agreement on future relations before the end of this year. The leaders have expressed their belief that this timetable won’t be enough.

So, let’s listen a little more. In our “hot seat” this week — J. Nicole Baca!

You’re very well-known in the industry. How and why did you choose a career in skincare?

I never chose skincare as a career. I began fixing my skin and other’s skin problems because the doctors I went to could never fit it. It became a way of life for me at a very young age. I battled with internal and external allergies that had severe effects on my skin, my health, and my quality of life. I was determined to find a cure for skin allergies. That drive and determination to fix skin conditions began when I was a child, and that drive continues to push me over 20 years later today.

You’re known for your knowledge of problem skin. Can you tell us a little bit about this?

I specialize in bio-active skincare formulations and the effects that ingredients have on the skin. Incorporating my understanding of the skin and how skin cells are communicating reflects how I utilize the elements to provide fast and effective results without the surface reacting. I have been using these formula’s for over 25 years at my medical spa’s and treating others with similar skin issues as my own. I currently have three patent-pending technologies to treat skin allergies.

Speaking of products, can you explain the significant differences between predominantly natural skincare and skincare that uses a lot of chemicals?

Natural has no legal definition according to the FDA, and the FDA also does not regulate the term “organic” There are no natural cosmetics, they are all chemically modified in some way. With that being said, any brand can say they are natural. Scientists did not create the Ingredient “blacklist” and “Clean” Certificates, and therefore there is a misunderstanding of how skin products work. If you take a close look at these ingredients on a blacklist, there are always “exceptions” to their own rule. It is just a marketing ploy. Everyone’s chemistry is different, and what works for one person may not work for another person, so that I would advise choosing an expert that understands the real science behind the brand.

Aside from products, what kinds of things should we add to our daily routine to achieve healthy, radiant skin? A lot of water, exercise, a healthy diet, and beauty sleep!

Conversely, what should we absolutely avoid ensuring healthy skin?

This should go without saying, your skin is a direct reflection of your health, and today we find ourselves multitasking more than ever before. It is hard to avoid certain habits because sometimes we are just too busy and we grab whatever is convenient; whether it is that 3rd cup of Starbucks, fast food, using your boyfriends bar soap in the shower instead of your cleanser, skipping the morning workout and doing the juice diet instead, life is hard sometimes, which is why I created Overdose! Overdose Face Serum does the multitasking for you! It is your complete skin essentials all in one. You can literally just grab it, apply it, and GO!

Some people say good skin is a matter of good genes. Would you agree that if you have troubled skin, can that always be remedied by specific skincare routines?

Your skin is definitely one of the hardest working organs in the body. The skin is continually fighting off and protecting the outside influences as well as keeping the cells and systems in place inside the body. Your skin will give you warning signs when something is not operating correctly. Yes, of course, genes have a lot to do with your health; everyone has different chemistry and DNA. Sometimes it can be as simple as a good skincare routine, other times a skin condition may require an adjustment from the inside. I consider all those things when treating a skin problem.

Tell us about your product ‘Overdose’ – what inspired it?

The inspiration to create Overdose came from several things, first and foremost, because my customers were sick of using 7-10 products and never got the result they wanted. My technology will lower the cost of skincare regimens and provide customers with luxury, fast, and affordable skin systems while eliminating skin irritation. My skin allergies also inspired me, and my allergies have had a massive impact on my quality of life. People look at me sometimes and think I have a disease. It affects everything I do or can’t do. I never gave up developing a cure. The way that you feel in your skin affects the way that you live, and I was inspired to create a sexy, simple, confident, and pure beauty brand to inspire others never to give up.

You’ve definitely convinced us! Is there any other advice you’d give to people who are just now becoming more mindful of their skincare routine?

If you do have allergies, make sure you read the ingredient list. The FDA has not made it mandatory yet to put a label on skincare products that reads “may contain traces of nuts or shellfish” and other allergy warnings. There are naturally derived ingredients that can cause those allergic reactions on your skin if you have environmental or food allergies. Even though you are not eating the cream (I hope), you can still react if those ingredients such as nuts and shellfish are in the skin cream. Some drug capsules are also made from shellfish.

Those are all excellent tips. Do you have any insider’s secrets you can share with our readers about maintaining beautiful skin?

Use Retin A. It works. You should start it in your mid 20’s and gradually increase the dose. I always mix my Retin A with oil or another product to help disperse and dilute it a bit; this prevents a lot of expensive cosmetic surgery later in life. It is always smarter to maintain the skin, then having to go back and correct it later.

Finally, what keeps you passionate about helping people look beautiful?

That’s easy, and it is the challenge to fix the problem and seeing my people live a healthy, confident life and feeling beautiful in their own skin.

Jessie J and Channing Tatum rekindle their romance

Jessie J and Channing Tatum are officially dating again!

After almost two months of spending time apart, the couple has decided to work things out according to multiple news outlets. Sources familiar to the pair have confirmed their rekindled romance but representatives for either parties are mum about the matter.

Speaking to E! News, a source says that after some time, they realized that they should try once more. “They took a few weeks apart but ultimately decided they really care about each other.”

The 21 Jump Street star and the Flashlight hitmaker first stirred romance rumors back in October 2018. They dated for about a year before calling off their relationship before the start of 2020.

Speaking to People an insider claimed that the pair ended on good terms at the time. “There wasn’t any drama. They just decided to part ways and are still good friends,” the insider said.

A different source confirmed to E! That their breakup was amicable and that it was ultimately because of their distance and different priorities. “Channing and Jessie have different priorities and focuses that don’t really align.”

According to the source, Jessie split her time between England and Los Angeles where Tatum lives. This might have taken a toll on her busy schedule. On the other hand, Tatum needed to stay in Los Angeles to spend time with his 6-year-old daughter Everly which he shares with ex-wife Jenna Dewan.

Last week, the couple was reportedly seen in Los Angeles — the first time since they were last publicly seen back in October las year.

Why Amy Schumer’s ex Kyle Dunnigan is living with her and husband

Times have indeed changed. Gone are the days when exes stay exes who occasionally bump into each other in awkward situations. While this may still hold true right after a breakup, our need for self-care, healing, and growth dictates that the truly healed can become friends with their ex if the relationship didn’t end in atrocious terms.

But Amy Schumer might be taking this whole concept to a whole new level. Her comedian ex Kyle Dunnigan recently shared that he’s actually living under the same roof as Schumer and her husband Chris Fischer.

Dunnigan made the revelation when he sat down for an interview on the Wednesday episode of The Howard Stern show. But before that, he looked back on their romantic time together saying “We had a moment there…a while ago and it was brief.”

As for his current unconventional living arrangement with Schumer and Fischer, he said, “I’ve been there for a month and a half.” He explained to stern that he’s been living with them at their apartment in New York while he and Schumer collaborate on her forthcoming Hulu show.

“She’s been very cool,” he added, revealing that he even has his own room and bathroom. But how does this whole thing work for Fischer? Dunnigan says that he doesn’t seem to mind. In fact, they even hang out and play chess. “We bro out,” he said about Schumer’s husband.

“All the food is really good and free,” Dunnigan quipped about his stay as he contemplated living there for a bit longer. “I’m supposed to leave in three weeks, but I don’t think I’m gonna.”

Coronavirus: Panic stirs as China orders Wuhan lockdown

Millions of Chinese nationals were forced to cancel their travel plans and seek refuge in their homes amid the panic and confusion caused by the recent coronavirus outbreak. The country’s government has told people to stay in their homes to avoid being exposed to the novel illness on Thursday and ordered a lockdown in three of central China’s cities. This move was made to mitigate the spread of the fatal virus that has so far claimed 17 lives.

Health authorities in the country reported that over 570 cases of people who have contracted the virus as of Wednesday. Cases of what is known as the 2019-nCoV have emerged outside China’s borders including two confirmed cases in Hong Kong, one in Singapore and one in the United States. Alarms have been raised as officials expect the virus to increase in transmission.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) held a press conference in Geneva, Switzerland on Thursday. Officials of the United Nations agency say that it is too early to declare the 2019-nCoV outbreak as a global emergency.

WHO’s director-general Tedros Adhanom told media on Thursday, “Make no mistake, this is, though, an emergency in China. But it has not yet become a global health emergency. It may yet become one.”

He added, “The fact that I’m not declaring a [global health emergency] today should not be taken as a sign that the WHO does not think the situation is serious or is not taking it seriously.”

It was confirmed on Wednesday that the growing epidemic can be contagious through respiratory transmission between humans.

Who is Amber Heard’s new lady love?

Who is that new couple spotted in Tinseltown? Why, it’s Aquaman star Amber Heard and cinematographer Bianca Butti.

An insider confirmed that the pair are officially dating. Speaking to Us Weekly — who first reported the news — a reliable source said “Amber and Bianca are dating and hooking up. Amber is not trying to be low key about it.”

Unlike other Hollywood couples who try to keep a low profile, the two aren’t hiding behind closed doors or shying away from some PDA. The 33-year-old actress reportedly “feels comfortable kissing Bianca and holding her hands in public at this point.”

As for how Heard and Butti ended up together, the insider revealed, “They started as friends and it turned into something more.”

Heard and the 38-year-old sparked romance rumors when they were in attendance at the 2020 Women’s Day March held on January 18 in Los Angeles. The London Fields actress was invited to speak at the event. Heard and Butti were spotted holding hands while they were all smiles at the event.

The actress even posted a photo of herself speaking at the event on Monday. See the post below:

“Proud to stand alongside so many strong and courageous people in the fight for equality at the 4th annual Women’s March,” she wrote in the caption.

Speculations about Butti and Heard’s relationship started when the pair were seen kissing on January 14 at Palm Springs. The two left Colony Palms Hotel that day where they drove off in the same car.
