Why Beyoncé won’t be announcing a Las Vegas residency anytime soon

Fortunately for those who didn’t get too excited about Beyoncé’s rumored Las Vegas Residency, the news has been disproved by the artist herself.

Beyoncé vehemently denied that she was planning to announce her Las Vegas Residency next year. Representatives for the “Crazy in Love” hitmaker slammed the claims. In a statement to Variety, the pop icon’s reps said the rumor is ‘absolutely not true’.

This comes amid the growing buzz that Beyoncé is set to become Nevada strip’s highest-paid entertainer. While the pop music icon isn’t even close to considering a residency in Las Vegas, she has performed a handful of concerts in Sin City.

In fact, Beyoncé even released her 2009 live album in the city. “I Am…Yours: An Intimate Performance at Wynn’ Las Vegas” is the third live album released by the songstress.

Fans of Beyoncé were excited about the possibility of seeing her in regularly scheduled shows when the news broke. However, a handful of fans were pretty sure that there’s no way that Queen Bey would eye a Las Vegas residency. Either way, there’s only one truth to this story: it’s not happening.

While all this happening, Beyoncé is gearing up for the release of her upcoming “Brown Skin Girl” music video. According to The Daily Mail, the artist recently wrapped up the shoot after filming in London.

Casting call for the video reportedly called on ‘black and brown people of different cultures, nationalities, ethnicities, genders, and ages’ to be featured. The single marks the second collaboration between Beyoncé’s and her daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
