Trevor Noah and Comedy Central parodies podcasts in new project

Trevor Noah is bursting into the podcast scene. The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and its television network Comedy Central announced their latest project, “The Daily Show Podcast Universe.”

Launching on January 13, the new podcast show is an all original miniseries consisting of five episodes. It will be part of the Global Podcast Network. Expect a ton of laughs coming your way as the limited podcast series will parody a handful of prominent podcasts. Of course, it will be hosted by Noah and will feature correspondents from The Daily Show along with a number of special guests.

The Daily Show Podcast Universe is expected debut everywhere so fans won’t have to worry about accessibility. There’s even an official audio trailer that’s narrated by Noah himself.

As for more details about the comedy podcast, Deadline reported the lineup of episodes featured in the limited-run miniseries. These include:

  • Slowbama – Mystery. Scandal. Lattes.
  • Pod Save Little Creek Elementary – They won’t take this lying down—unless it’s nap time.
  • These American Lies – Stories about lies and the presidents who tell them.
  • #Crushing: A Success Podcast For Winners – So much epic, so little time.
  • Podcast Today – Podcasting today’s podcast, today.

Steve Raizes, Senior Vice President of podcasting for Comedy Central’s parent company Viacom had this to say about the upcoming project:

“The Daily Show Podcast Universe further reinforces the fact that The Daily Show with Trevor Noah is a late-night leader in podcasting. The series continues to break new ground across platforms and offers fans truly unique ways to interact with the show, Trevor and the correspondents.”
