Sophie Turner set to star in Quibi survival thriller series

Sophie Turner is making a small-screen return–big time! The British actress is starring her own Quibi series “Survive”.

This marks Turner’s return to television after Game of Thrones aired its final season back in May. Turner is known for her breakthrough role as Sansa Stark in the series. Now, she’s ready to take on a new project.

Turner’s casting was announced by streaming platform Quibi on Twitter. It also revealed the production is currently underway for the series.

Turner will star alongside Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton) as she plays Jane. Her character is stranded on a snow-covered mountain after she and Paul (Hawkins) are the only survivors of a devastating plane crash. Working together, the pair must fight for their safety under extreme weather conditions and into the dangers of the wilderness. The series is based on a critically acclaimed novel of the same name from Alex Morel.

The actress has addressed the exciting news in a statement to People saying:

“I couldn’t be more honored to portray the role of Jane in Survive for Quibi. She’s a complex character fighting against the odds to not only save her life but to also find her own source of strength and courage. I only hope this can impact anyone struggling with self-worth to understand they are braver than they know and to seek the support they need.”

Mark Pellington is attached to the project as director. No news as of yet as to when Quibi is expecting to release the series.
