REVIEWS:

ā€œA great swimming pool, especially if you want an outdoor swim. With pools indoors and out including a spa (+ a gym upstairs), there is plenty of lanes for swimming. Kids are covered with an indoor splash zone (not really deep enough to call it a pool). Outside the water is heated and doesnā€™t have that typical pool chlorine smell. Showers are ok, with big open changing rooms.ā€ ā€“ Allan B.

Melbourne City Baths

Melbourne City Baths
Melbourne City Baths
Melbourne City Baths was first opened in 1860 and has continued to provide health and fitness services to the community for more than 150 years. This achievement distinguishes the Baths from any other health and fitness facility in Victoria.

The baths were opened to give Melburnians an alternative to bathing in the Yarra river, which was not only polluted but blamed for causing a deadly epidemic of typhoid fever.

The uniqueness of the building and the significance it holds for so many Victorians have also prompted theatre groups, television programs and fashion magazines to use the baths as the setting for their productions, films and photographic shoots.

REVIEWS:

ā€œAshburton Pool & Recreation Centre is a great little pool away from main roads and therefore probably not as well known as other pools. The best part of this pool is the heated outdoor pool , which clearly stands out from others and makes it much more comfortable especially with kids. The carpark looks large enough, however we were not there at peak times. The pools and pool area appeared clean and reasonably well kept. Overall I would recommend Ashburton Pool & Recreation Centre for a dip and a play.ā€ ā€“ Justin S.
