Ryan was able to answer a few of our questions regarding his business and how they help people.

Ryan, your business is quite unique in terms of its model. What motivated you to start Change?

I was sick of working as a chef in a hot kitchen doing 12 hour days. I knew I was worth more in life. I have two little girls and I was missing out on so much time with them also. I was actually just searching online for a new job and I came across the training system I used to get where I am where they teach you everything you need to know to market online. I did some research and showed my brother Reece who also wanted to break out of the 9-5 and we joined. Skip to a year later and we both have quit our day jobs, created our own brand where we help others acheive a life of freedom. Reece is travelling the world and I have bought 2 of my dream cars and have that important time with my daughters.

What have been some of the key challenges in starting up Change?

When we began we struggled to put enough time towards it as we both worked full time still. We knew we wanted a change so we sacrificed socialising and relaxing and put in as much time as possible. We also hit many obstacles on the journey and sometimes you are disheartened but you have to learn from each challenge and mistake.

Another challenge is jealous people and haters, even our own friends and family. People seem to be so offended that you are trying something different and want to do better out of life so they put you down, they tell you that you wont be successful and make fun of your ambition. Sometimes its hard to deal with, especially in the beginning but now we have those same friends who weren’t supportive in the beginning wanting us to show them how it’s done. Like they say, you’ll never see a hater doing better than you!

What exactly is involved in Instagram training and how does it help your customers?

My brother and I have invested heavily, both mentally and financially, in learning the ins and outs of the Instagram platform. We have tried many different things to do with marketing on Instagram, we have failed and we have succeeded. We wanted to make our training course so that our students can cut this learning curve out and just go straight to the parts that work.

Why do you think more and more people are looking for ways to cement their financial freedom?

With the way the world is going now, more and more businesses, shops and services are being taken over by the online world. With shops closing down, as they can’t compete with the likes of Amazon, there will be people facing job losses. More people are coming around and seeing this and realising that the future is on the internet.

Are there any commonalities you seen in the types of individuals your program helps?

We do see a lot of time wasters, I refer to these as “wannabes”. They want the lifestyle I live but they aren’t willing to do anything about it. I can tell from my first conversations the people that genuinely want to change their lives and have what it takes. These people are all determined, have great work ethic and aren’t afraid to step out of their comfort zone.

Of all your content packages, which is the most popular and how does it help build financial autonomy?

We get a lot of people purchase our web design package. So many people don’t have a clue where to start building their own website and how to get the design just right. We experienced this ourselves when we started out which is why we wanted to make this service for our students. We have many templates to choose from and will advise our students with the best landing pages to use to gain customers.

For anyone considering your services, what would be your recommendation to them before signing up?

If you aren’t going to do everything you can to make the change in your life then don’t bother starting. It takes commitment, sacrifice and the desire to do more with your life and break out of the traditional way of life.

Do you think it takes a certain type of person to run a business designed to help people with their financial goals?

I think that there are a lot of people marketing online that are selfish, and will show off the image and encourage people to join them or their system but then when it comes down to it they are not willing to tell their clients/students exactly what they did to become successful. With Change we share everything we did on our journey, the internet is big enough for our students to basically “copy and paste” what we did and that still won’t take business away from us so we all win. At the end of the day myself and Reece believe if our students are successful, we are successful.
