Nicole Wood from Snorkel Molokini discusses snorkeling tours of Molokini Crater

Nicole Wood operates the Snorkel Molokini website, which lists the snorkeling tours to the Molokini Crater that are available in Maui, Hawaii to make them easy for tourists to book. The Crater is a part of the local reef, and the tours offered on the website showcase the many different fish and coral that live there.

How did Molokini Snorkeling begin?

We created the Molokini Snorkeling website in order to better assist our guests when vacationing to Maui. Snorkeling at Molokini Crater is extremely popular and it can be confusing trying to decide which tour company to choose.

We have made it easy by providing all of the tours on one website. We also have a snorkel chart that compares all of the tours side by side. We offer large discounts compared to other companies.

What makes you different from other snorkeling companies?

We are a snorkel company provider rather than the company itself. We match the perfect tour to our guests needs.

What things do you see when snorkeling in Maui?

Snorkeling in Maui and especially at Molokini Crater is absolutely stunning. The visibility at Molokini can be up to 150 feet. There are 38 coral species and an estimated 250 species of tropical fish. You can also see green sea turtles, moray eels, octopus and even white tip reef sharks.

Do you have a favourite snorkeling tour?

Our favourite snorkeling tours are the ones that go out to Molokini Crater. Our top three most requested tours are with the Calypso, Pacific Whale Foundation and the Maui Magic.

They are five hour excursions where they snorkel Molokini and a second spot known as turtle town where green sea turtles are abundant. They include a continental breakfast, barbecue lunch, snorkel gear and even cocktails after snorkeling.

What do you love most about Maui?

The things we love most about Maui is the weather, beautiful surroundings and the laid back atmosphere. The tropical fruit is also delicious!

What’s the best thing about snorkeling?

The best thing about snorkeling is being able to enter another world away from the hustle and bustle of life. The ocean is truly a place to relax and simply enjoy nature. It is always a new experience because nature is not on a schedule and you never know what you are going to see each time you go out.
