New phone hacks – how to keep it forever young

So, you finally got that new phone. And, let’s face it – it wasn’t an easy journey. After carefully deciding on which brand and model to take while following the latest leaks and rumours, you patiently counted days until the official launch.

While waiting for the preorder to start, you quietly promise yourself that you will never drop or damage your new phone.

Soon after clicking that “pre-order now” button, you simply could not wait for the day when that little gadget will be in your hands. And, let’s not forget the amount of money you carefully saved to be able to keep up with the latest features and call yourself the proud owner of that latest smartphone model.

Now, your new phone is right there, in your hands, looking all nice and techy. Well, it’s the time to keep your promise – don’t damage your phone.

We tend to get so excited about the latest mobile releases, often forgetting all the efforts (and money) spent in order to get our hands on it.

So, since you’ve already invested hundreds of dollars in your cool, new phone, check out some hot tips on how to keep your smartphone young and fresh.

1. Keep it protected

The worst thing you can do to your new smartphone is to drop it. Even though phone drops are usually pure accidents, they will still damage your phone significantly.

So, in order to avoid any unwanted scratches or even worse, a broken screen, always keep your phone protected.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of smartphones, there is a wide range of affordable protection cases in the market. From basic, clear skin protectors to flip-on and cool smartphone wraps, you will definitely come across something that suits you.

Most skin protectors will keep your phone safe from scratches and any liquid spillage, and, the good news is – you don’t have to spend a lot of money on a branded phone case.

For just a couple of dollars, you can find a nice, silicone case that will keep your phone safe and new.

2. Update your apps

Taking care of your phone internally is as equally important. The best way to keep everything on track is to always update your software and apps on time.

By updating your phone regularly, you will have a clean interface and decrease any chances of bugs and errors.

Remember, software updates are released to improve your phone’s performance, so as long as you are not avoiding them, your phone will always run smoothly.

Similarly, mobile app developers often release various app updates, which usually improve user experience and sometimes integrate new features or offers.

All mobile updates are easy to run, by simply agreeing to download and install the desired update, which can take up to a couple of minutes.

On the latest smartphone models, you can even schedule an update, so that, for example, your phone can finalise all the latest updates while you are sleeping.

3. Keep your phone clean

Cleaning your phone is important. Not only that you will maintain the fresh look of your new device, but you will also get rid of all the unwanted bacteria and dirt. However, swiping your shirt over your screen is not considered cleaning.

Try cleaning your device with a lint-free cloth with a bit of distilled water or alcohol. You will quickly notice how your smartphone feels and looks better when it’s free of stains and dust.
