Mariah Carey gets candid about her love life, revealing that she’s only been with five people in her life.

The whistle tone queen may look like she can have anyone she wants, but she wants you to know she’s hasn’t had as many partners as one might think. In the latest issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, the record-breaking singer reveals details about her whirlwind relationships.

In her three decades in the music and showbiz industry, you can only count her partners with just one hand. “I haven’t had that many, but there has been a variety pack,” she told Cosmo. “I’ve only been with five people in my life, so I’m kind of a prude, honestly, compared to most others in the field,” the songstress added.
Mariah also opened up about her marriage to first husband Tommy Mottola who produced her debut album. Reflecting on their relationship, Mariah says:

“You might want to picture a child bride. There was a conscious effort to keep me as this all-American, whatever that means, girl. It was very controlled. There was no ­freedom for me as a human being. It was almost like being a prisoner.”

The pair had a pretty problematic 20-year age gap between them. Mariah was 23 at the time of their marriage while Tommy was about 44 years old. Since splitting up, the Sony Music executive has called their relationship “absolutely wrong and inappropriate.” You’d think he would have considered that when they were dating.

Now, Mariah is currently dating her on and off beau Bryan Tanaka who is also one of her backup dancers.
