Kim Kardashian talks about Kanye West and surrogacy

Kim Kardashian West isn’t one to shy away from sharing details about going through surrogacy to conceive her two youngest kids. The reality star gave birth to her first and second children, North (6 years old) and Saint (4 years old) but health complications led her to the decision to use surrogates for Chicago (2 years old) and Psalm (8 months old).

According to the mother of four, she approached different surrogates for Chicago and Psalm. In a podcast interview on iHeartRadio original’s, All’s Fair With Laura Wasser, the SKIMS founder opened up about her husband Kanye West’s role in the whole process.

“I was in the room both times,” she recounts of her two youngest children being delivered. “Both surrogates that we used were very comfortable with Kanye being involved in any way he wanted to be.”

Kardashian-West reveals that her husband was more involved with the first surrogate in comparison to the second one.

Through the second surrogacy process, the superstar was mainly the one handling things “until the end.” She continued, “He was more involved when I was actually pregnant. It was whatever I needed him to be involved with.”

While West was present when their two youngest kids were born, he did not stay in the room.

“For the first one, he was not in the room. We had a connecting room, so he and Kourtney [Kardashian] were in the connecting room because I really feel like Kourtney’s done this before, I really needed a girl support system,” Kardashian recalled.
