Marvel Cinematic Universe fans have long been yearning for a stand-alone Black Widow film. And after numerous films as a supporting character in the MCU, Scarlett Johansson is finally under the solo spotlight. The Black Widow movie has finally materialized as its action-packed trailer has already gained over 34 million views.

You can watch the trailer down below in case you missed it:

Fans will get to delve into the history and psyche of Johanssonā€™s titular character also known as Natasha Romanoff. Now, the head of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige has teased more details about the Russian assassinā€™s solo film. According to Feige, the film will give audiences a look at the rationale behind the characterā€™s decision making. Particularly in Avengers Infinity War and Endgame from The Russo Brothers.

Black Widowā€™s timeline is set in between Captain America: Civil War and Infinity War. But her history is explained in events that go further back into Romanoffā€™s past. The trailer showed the spy signing up to be a member of S.H.I.E.L.D. with Thaddeus Ross.

We also get a peek of what the Romanoff family was like through plenty of flashbacks. Speaking to IGN hereā€™s what Feige has to say about the agentā€™s backstory:

ā€œBut we had this thought of exploring a little bit of her past that we hadnā€™t seen before and how that impacts the adventure she had between Civil War and Infinity War. And in fact, there are things that she does in Infinity War and Endgame that youā€™ll see in a new light once you see the Black Widow.ā€
