Kathy Griffin’s feud with Ellen DeGeneres isn’t over

Kathy Griffin is keeping it real as she reveals that her quarrel with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres is far from over.

Speaking to host Rosanna Scotto in an appearance on Good Day New York, Griffin addressed the status of her feud with DeGeneres. She also went on to say that she isn’t bothered that she and her fellow comedian are not on good terms.

“I am apparently not her cup of tea,” Griffin, 58, shared on Thursday. “But I think she is great. I am not a comedy snob.”

Griffin also had some kind words to say about DeGeneres despite the beef between them.

“I’m vulgar, but I think it’s great there’s clean comedians and prop comedians and topical comedians and observational comedians. I’m just happy whenever a female, especially a female over 50, is still in the game.”

The feud between the two comedians stemmed from DeGeneres’ refusal to participate in a tribute celebrating the late comedian Joan Rivers. Griffin revealed spilled the “piping hot tea” during a performance at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theater last year.

“One of the things that really hurt Joan, and we talked about it at our last meal together, was that Ellen always shunned her and Ellen thought she was vulgar and not funny,” Griffin said at the time.

The CNN alum also pointed out at the time that she tried reaching out to DeGeneres after Rivers died back in 2014.

“One of the things that really hurt Joan, and we talked about it at our last meal together, was that Ellen always shunned her and Ellen thought she was vulgar and not funny,” Griffin said at the time.
