John Travolta expresses support for Olivia Newton-John amid cancer fight

John Travolta has an endearing message for his Grease co-star, Olivia Newton-John, as she fights cancer for the third time.

The Australian actress is making a strong effort to live a fulfilling life despite her ongoing battle with stage 4 cancer after she was diagnosed last year. Travolta, on the other hand, expressed support for her while he appeared at the red carpet premiere of his latest film, The Fanatic. Entertainment Tonight caught up with the actor at the event held in the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles, California last Thursday.

Speaking to the entertainment news outlet, the actor praised his beloved Grease leading lady.

ā€œShe looks incredible,ā€ the actor said. ā€œShe doesnā€™t look any different than [she did] years ago, and Iā€™m very proud of her,ā€ he added.ā€Iā€™m very happy about Olivia,ā€ the actor added, with a fond look on his face as he beamed.

Earlier this month, the 70-year-old Newton-John appeared in an interview with 60 Minutes Australia. The actress emotionally shared her experience as she battles cancer and explained how sheā€™s not letting the diseases hold her back from living her life.

Speaking to ET, Newton-John wanted her fans to rest easy saying, ā€œI just want everyone to know, Iā€™m here, Iā€™m doing great. Iā€™m doing really well and Iā€™m really healthy.ā€

Travolta and Newton-John remained close friends even after they wrapped up on their iconic 1978 film.

Travoltaā€™s new movie shows the dark and problematic side of fandoms as he plays the role of a stalker obsessed with an actor.
