Prof. Peter Barlis

Prof. Peter Barlis – sees patients with all types of conditions affecting the heart. Peter is a pioneer in interventional cardiology, the specialized field of cardiology dealing with the treatment of blockages in the arteries and stents. In 2009 he introduced a new imaging technique into Australia. Dr. Ben Dundon – completed his advanced training in cardiology in 2005, before undertaking a Ph.D. in advanced cardiac imaging utilizing Cardiac MRI. During his Ph.D., Ben was awarded the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand post-graduate research scholarship as well as the prestigious National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) / National Heart Foundation of Australia (NHF) post-graduate research scholarship. Ben was awarded further research funding through the Cardiovascular Lipid Research Grants, as well as grant support from the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Institute of Medical and Veterinary Sciences for his academic work.
