Stephanie Beatriz is totally game to bring She-Hulk to the small screen.
Since Disney/Marvel Studios announced a She-Hulk series at the D23 convention last month, fans have been quick to suggest who might make a good lead for the titular role. One particular favorite is the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star who portrays Detective Rosa Diaz in the hit NBC sitcom.
Beatriz has since received the suggestion of taking on She-Hulk with much enthusiasm. The TV actress was in attendance at NBC’s event, Comedy Starts Here. Beatriz spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the possibility of seeing her go green saying: “I would die to play that role.”
“That is so flattering. That is one of the best characters in that universe,” she says about fans rooting for her to play the part.
The actress shared that just getting her name thrown into the mix of fan favorites has prompted her to workout even harder just in case.
“I definitely have upped my workouts since reading some of those things,” she says adding, “But also, [I think it would] be really exciting for fans to see some of these characters that we kind of decided are one thing, to sort of be imagined in a different way.”
For the meantime, we’ll be seeing more of Beatriz on the upcoming seventh season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It will air on NBC sometime this season and its previous seasons are currently available for streaming on Netflix.
Other fan favorites for the She-Hulk role are Gabrielle Union, Rosario Dawson, and Gwendoline Christie, as per Screen Rant.
