In a gracious acknowledgment, Bonnie Comley, the visionary behind BroadwayHD, was bestowed with the esteemed 2023 Power Women of the East End Award by none other than Victoria Schneps. Adding to the recognition, Assembly Member Rebecca A. Seawright presented Comley with a Citation Award from the state of New York. Schneps Media’s Power Women of the East End celebration spotlights these indomitable females who contribute to the flourishing tapestry of the East End, rendering it an engaging hub for work, life, and enterprise. The distinguished Power Women of the East End Award reveres the accomplishments of trailblazing figures who shape, construct, and bolster the lives of the residents and visitors on the eastern fringes of New York’s Long Island.

Bonnie Comley serves as both the architect and CEO of BroadwayHD, a lauded subscription streaming service renowned for providing its members with unfettered access to full-length Broadway productions and theatrical presentations. Comley’s outstanding contributions have earned her an impressive collection of accolades, including three Tony Awards, an Olivier Award, and two Drama Desk Awards for her theatrical ventures. She stands as a member of The Broadway League, presides over the Board of The Drama League, and wields her voting influence as a member of The Recording Academy. In a momentous recognition, Comley was granted The Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2022.

Having earned acclaim as a Top Silicon Valley Entrepreneur to Watch in 2021, Comley boasts a prolific portfolio of over 50 film productions, securing her nine Telly Awards and a W3 Award. A milestone moment occurred in 2016 when Comley and BroadwayHD etched their names in history by achieving the Guinness World Record for the First Live Stream of a Broadway Show. Acknowledging her philanthropic undertakings, the Broadway theater community has lavished Comley with The Actors Fund Medal of Honor, The Drama League Special Contribution to the Theater Award, The Paul Newman Award from Arts Horizons, and The Theater Museum Distinguished Service Award. Educational establishments have also acknowledged Comley’s contributions, with The Distinguished Alumni Award from Emerson College, The Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Massachusetts, and membership in the esteemed business Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma adorning her accomplishments.
