The Specialist Paediatric Dental Practice
Dr Juliette ScottĀ graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Honours) from the University of Sydney in 1997. She worked as a Dental Officer at Sydney Dental Hospital and the Westmead Centre for Oral Health, and in general private practice in Sydney, before commencing her specialty training in 2002. From 1998 to 2002 she was appointed as an Associate Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Sydney.
In 2001, she became a Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. She completed her specialty training in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Sydney in 2004, obtaining a Master of Dental Science (Paediatric Dentistry) degree with Honours. She then worked in private practice and as the Fellow in Paediatric Dentistry at the Childrenās Hospital at Westmead until 2006. She is currently a Visiting Dental Specialist at the Westmead Centre for Oral Health.
Dr Scott is an elected council member of The Australian Dental Association (NSW Branch) and serves on committees for The Australian Dental Association, The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the NSW Department of Health. She has been an examiner for The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (general dentistry stream), and is involved with dental teaching at the University of Sydney for both undergraduates and postgraduates. Dr Scott is also committed to providing continuing education for dentists, medical practitioners and other professionals with an interest in the oral health of children.
Dr Scott joined the team at The Specialist Paediatric Dental Practice in July 2006. She has a particular interest in treating medically compromised patients and those with special needs. When she is not practicing dentistry, she is kept busy running after her two very active small children, and not so active basset hound.

Dr Caroline ChungĀ is a registered specialist in paediatric dentistry. Her experience includes all aspects of paediatric dentistry, with a particular interest in dental trauma and emergencies, dental management of anxious children, decay in early childhood, and surgical management of impacted and supernumerary teeth. Following her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney, she worked in general private practice in Sydney for three years and then moved overseas to further her studies and experience. Dr Chung obtained her Masters and Advanced Diploma in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong, and her Diploma of Membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She then traveled in a professional capacity to places such as Malaysia, Canada and Germany, gaining a unique exposure to different cultures and backgrounds. St George Paediatric Dental Specialists
Dr Susan Hsieh graduated with a Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Sydney in 2002. She worked as a general dentist in a busy private practice in Canberra, before commencing speciality training in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Sydney in 2007. She completed her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Paediatric Dentistry) in 2009 and commenced part-time specialist practice in 2010.
Between 2009 and 2012, Dr Susan was appointed as a Senior Registrar in Paediatric Dentistry at Westmead Centre for Oral Health, a Visiting Dental Officer at Hornsby Kuring-gai Hospital, and a clinical associate lecturer in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Sydney. She was also involved in research in tongue-ties and frenectomies (tongue-tie release) in infancy and was a guest speaker at the NSW Childhood Cancer Survivorship Info Day. Dr Susan was awarded first prize in the Australian New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry Postgraduate Research Competition in 2010, and was a finalist in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Graduate Student Research Award in 2011. Her research work was published in the journal Cancer in 2011.
Dr Susan and Dr Thuy collaborated in 2011 to establish St George Paediatric Dental Specialists.Ā Dr Susan prioritises integretive approaches to dental health, especially in prevention and management of dental caries in young children, optimising jaw growth and oral myofunction, and more recently, the use of LASER in paediatric dentistry.
