About a Girl has been a local favourite in Nobby Beach for years. When the store went up for sale in 2015, they knew they wanted to be part of it.

Coming from a corporate background, they were both ready for not only a change, but also a challenge, and the next thing they knew, they were owners of this beautiful boutique. After 17 years of friendship, they are on the most terrifying, but exciting ride together.

As most girls do, they have a love for fashion, but more importantly, they love the chilled, coastal lifestyle, and this is reflected in their style and pieces throughout their store.

White Bohemian Store

White Bohemian Store is located in the beautiful Palm Beach on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Being located so closely to the beautiful Byron Bay, they are proud to be one of the largest stockist of stunning Byron Bay fashion labels such as Spell, Arnhem and Kivari. They also support many of the up and coming local Gold Coast designers such as Mahiya Leather and Cabo Gypsy (exclusive to White Bohemian Store).

Australian fashion is at an all time creative high right now, and they are experiencing an ever increasing desire for their fashions from overseas customers via their online store, but also surprisingly in store. They recently had a lovely mother and daughter from Canada who came all the way to Palm Beach specifically to visit White Bohemian, they were stoked to say the least. They warmly welcome their International, National and local customers to their store.

DISSH

DISSH is a company ruled by, designed for and inspired by women. Born in the Henry-Hicks family home in 2001, they opened the doors to their first store in the Gold Coast. The kitchen table was the boardroom, the office the stockroom and the living room their wholesalers showcase room – it was an operation like no other. As DISSH continued to grow, the business overtook the family home (and the 10 car pile-up overtook the garage and street), it was time to move into their own official space. Despite the coffee van only opening up shop every two days, it was a big and exciting step forward for the business.

They design and produce around 80% of their own styles, meaning what their clients get at Dissh is something unique they can’t get anywhere else. They don’t take themselves too seriously. They love making their clients feel and look good. That’s what they do. Whether it’s a night out, a long lunch with the girls, a day at the beach, or date night – they’ve got their customers covered. They work hard to bring customers the latest trends, no matter the occasion.
