Vin Diesel: Riddick 4 script is complete

Whether you’re happy about it or not, the Riddick franchise is not dead yet.

Actor Vin Diesel who stars in the franchise confirmed that the script for the fourth installment is completed. It is currently titled Riddick: Furya and is expected to materialize in an era where reboots, remakes, prequels, and sequels just keep coming.

The film series is a various mix of science fiction, action, and horror that began back in 2000’s Pitch Black which marked Diesel’s breakthrough role as a movie star. The movie’s debut paved the way to multiple installments since then.

News of the Riddick 4 script’s completion came the way many projects from Diesel do, on his social media accounts. The actor personally unveiled the script on Instagram as he posted a video of himself holding the printed write-up. See the full video below:

The video was taken while the action star was practicing archery with his daughter in preparation for the Hannibal Barca movies he’s been planning to make for years. In the video, David Twohy’s screenplay is revealed along with the film’s aforementioned title. In front of the script is a quotation that reads “Everyone wants to be a beast, until it’s time to do what beasts do,” which actually sounds like something Diesel’s Riddick would say. The quote actually originated from motivational speaker Eric Thomas.

Diesel is currently busy filming the 9th installment of the Fast and Furious franchise as filming resumed the day after a horrific accident happened on set.
