The Bacholerette’s Hannah Brown: “I can be a woman of faith and also be sex-positive”

Hannah Brown has had her fair share of criticism since speaking up about physical intimacy on the show.

Now, the reality TV star is opening up about the painful criticism she received after coming clean about her sex life. Brown reveals that she’s been the subject of “slut-shaming” since speaking publicly about her sex life when Luke Parker acted like a total a-hole saying he would not want to be involved with her if she had sex on the show.

“I believe a lot of the same things Luke does,” Brown said, speaking to People. “Physical intimacy is emotionally binding. But there are lots of different sins. And for Luke, [sex] was the thing that made me not worthy to be his wife. And as he continued to talk to me, it just made me more angry.”

“I was not trying to say that it’s okay to live a life of sin and just call out to the name of Jesus,” she adds. “But I’m a human being and Jesus still loves me.”

But the Alabama native says she never intended for her sex life to be a highly-publicized subject.

“Did I really think that everyone was going to know about my sex life?” she asks. “No. Was it a jab at Luke? Yes. Did I speak in a moment of anger? Yes.”

“I have been told that I misrepresent being a Christian and that has been soul-crushing. My faith is very important to me.” Brown adds that she “Can be a woman of faith and also be sex-positive.”
