Taylor Swift sits atop Forbes’ 2019 highest paid celebrities

Taylor Swift hasn’t stopped making headlines since teasing the release of her new album “Lover”. Now, the singer makes is still the talk of Tinseltown as she tops The World’s Highest-Paid Celebrities by Forbes.

That’s right, she’s the world’s highest-paid entertainer with an astounding USD185 million in her bank account. Closely following her are members Kardashian clan members beauty mogul Kylie Jenner and rapper Kanye West.

Swift, hot off her 2018 Reputation tour and album, earned an estimated USD185 million to take the No 1 spot. The 29-year-old pop star also topped the list in 2016 after her best-selling 1989 tour and album. The ‘Calm Down’ hitmaker is expected to defend her position if she goes on a tour with her fresh album “Lover”.

Following her at number two is cosmetics queen Kylie Jenner who was declared Forbes’ youngest billionaire in the world earlier this year. This was based on an estimate of the reality star’s pre-tax earnings. This year, Jenner made an estimate of USD170 million.

Taking the third spot is West who is married to Kim Kardashian. This marks West’s return to the list after a four-year absence. According to Forbes, the rapper made an estimated USD 150 million this year, mostly coming from his Yeezy shoes.

Making it to the top 10 of the annual Forbes Celebrity 100 list are soccer superstars Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Neymar. Performers in the top 10 include British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and the 1970s soft rock band Eagles who made a music revival in their 2018 tour.
