While everyone is fawning over pop hottie Shawn Mendes, the singer only has eyes for one all-time crush.

The GRAMMY nominee is still head over heels for actress Emma Watson and he’s not one to shy away from talking about it. During a fan meet, Mendes was asked by a fan about his celebrity crush. Although he seemed undecided at first, the singer ultimately gushed about the Harry Potter franchise actress. And why not? Watson is a talented actress, feminist advocate, and ambassador for the UN Women Goodwill. Talk about beauty, talent, and brains!

In a video posted by the singer’s fan account on Twitter, Mendes is seen professing his love for the actress. The Lost in Japan hitmaker said:
“I really just do love Emma Watson still and I’d tell her that.”

The pop prince went on to say that he’s actually met her saying “When I met her I was really embarrassed”. But before we could get further details about the story, the video trailed off.

This isn’t the first time the singer professed his love for the Beauty and the Beast actress. Three years ago, in a bold move, he tweeted Watson writing: ‘Okay. Here it is. I love you’. The actress never responded to the Tweet and we’ll never know if she’s actually even seen it.

Mendes is a very vocal fan of the Harry Potter films and book franchise. He even appeared in James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke donned in Hogwarts’ robes and Harry’s iconic round glasses.
