Scarlett Johansson is “pushing” Marvel for an all-female movie

One of the most exciting scenes in “Avengers: Endgame” is when the female heroes banded together for an intense battle sequence. In fact, it was arguably one of the most epic scenes in the entire film. The scene in question has prompted fans to wonder if Marvel has an all-female film in the works because that would be the stuff of dreams.

Seeing the women of Marvel unite in a standalone big-screen spin-off would is an exciting concept. And Scarlett Johansson who plays Natasha Romanoff a.k.a Black Widow seems to think so too! Despite her character’s demise in Avengers: Endgame, the actress would love to see her fellow female supers in a standalone movie.

The star of Taika Waititi’s Jojo Rabbit spoke to Variety while promoting the film. In the interview, she says that she’s been “pushing” for a film that puts the spotlight on the women of Marvel.

“I don’t know what my future is in that world. Obviously, it’s a little more opaque for my character,” Johansson explained. “But that group of actresses is so incredibly powerful and when they come together, it’s explosive and unstoppable. So yes, I’m pushing for that. I think audiences want it and I’m definitely one of them,” she adds.

Johansson’s standalone Black Widow film is already projected to gain widespread success on its 2020 release. Not to mention Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel smashing through the box office, milestones have already been reached to prove that females are killing it in the big screen. So it’s just about time that we see our favorite Marvel heroines banded together in one movie.
