Irish Murphy’s – Located on one of the oldest hotel sites in Brisbane, it is generally believed that the first hotel built on the site was the Dunmore Arms, in 1865. In 1888, it was redesigned and renamed as The Treasury Hotel and used to serve the new government treasury building across the street. On 29 October 1999, it was opened as the beloved Irish Murphy’s that people know and love today.
Their dedication to the traditional Irish Pub is immediately seen in the wooden bar tops, cabinetry and extensive collection of Irish knick-knacks that people can find in their CBD location, on the corner of George Street and Elizabeth Street.
