Dr. Lynette Rose graduated in Medicine from the University of Adelaide in 1983, and became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry (RANZCP) in 1990.
Lynette has worked in both New Zealand and Australia, with experience acorss a wide range of conditions including psychosis, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, autistic spectrum disorders, adolescent psychiatric disorders and intellectual disability. She works with General Practitioners and other health care workers and agencies using a Shared Care or Consultation model of psychiatry.
Lynette also works part time at Flinders Medical Centre and provides medico legal assessments and consultation to the Courts on the Mental Illness Defence, Fitness to Plead and Stand Trial, and Pre Sentencing Reports.
Lynette is involved in training, mentoring and assessing overseas trained psychiatrists as well as local trainee psychiatrists and medical students. She has been an examiner with the College of Psychiatry and assisted in the development of clinical practice guidelines.
Consultations with Lynette Rose are eligible for a Medicare rebate, but a current referral from a GP is required. There is a gap payable, ranging from approximately $30-$70, depending on the duration and the nature of the consultation.
