Pink Taco founder Harry Morton passed away last weekend at a young age of 38.
His company confirmed that Morton was found unresponsive last Saturday afternoon, November 23rd in his home in Beverly Hills. Paramedics rushed into the scene and tried to revive the young business tycoon but were pronounced dead after failing to resuscitate him. The authorities determined that there was no foul play involved in Morton’s death.
Sources also disclosed that it was Matthew, Morton’s younger sibling who found him unconscious and unresponsive.
Morton founded Pink Taco back in 1999 when he was still 18 years old. Pink Taco had numerous branches across the United States like Chicago, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. Morton’s father, Peter, co-founded the Hard Rock Cafe and Hotels and his grandfather founded Morton’s The Steakhouse.
Pink Taco released a statement in the passing of their founder, saying that Morton was a Restaurateur and a visionary who was ahead of his time. His work both on their brand and with the personnel that he worked with over the years was overwhelming and made an impact on everyone.
Besides being a famous businessman, Morton was known for dating celebrity women like Lindsay Lohan who he had a relationship within the 2000s and Demi Moore after her breakup with then-husband Ashton Kutcher. He had also been linked with Jennifer Aniston for a New York minute and was seen with Britney Spears back in 2015.
TMZ reported yesterday that the Pink Taco founder died from a heart attack due to complications in his arteries. A Morton family spokesperson announced that the Los Angeles County Coroner told them that the 38-year-old business mogul suffered from coronary arterial disease and had a slightly enlarged heart. People Magazine tried to get a comment from the coroner’s office after the autopsy was done but was not given anything since there wasn’t any clear cause of death at the time.
The Morton family added that heart surgeon and family friend Dr. Kathy Magliato revealed that Morton had some calcification in three of the main arteries of his heart that caused the sudden heart attack due to impeded heart function.
The L.A. coroner’s office stated that they intend to conduct additional testing on Morton’s other internal organs so they can issue a formal cause of death after their investigation.
Morton’s ex-girlfriend, Lindsay Lohan posted an emotional Instagram photo of the two together at the 2006 Venice Film Festival with a caption, ‘Best friends. Best life”.
