Dr Jenny Branson graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 1984 and subsequently worked in country South Australia and metropolitan Adelaide before practicing in England.  After the birth of her two children, Dr Jenny fulfilled a long-term ambition and returned to the University of Adelaide to complete her specialist paediatric training (Master of Dental Science, Paediatric Dentistry).

Dr Jenny continued to work as a paediatric specialist in the Women’s and Children’s Hospital until 2004 and tutored the University of Adelaide undergraduate dental students in paediatric dentistry until 2008.  She has been working as a paediatric specialist in private practice since 2004.

Dr Sam Gue was born in Broken Hill, New South Wales and moved to Adelaide in 1979. He attended Prince Alfred College and represented the school in both the 1st VIII rowing crew and 1st XI hockey team.

Sam graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1997 and completed his specialist training in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Sydney in 2001. During this time he was based at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Westmead, Hospital, Sydney Dental Hospital and Randwick Children’s Hospital. In 2000 he was awarded the Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry Colgate research prize. In 2001 Sam completed his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Following the completion of his specialist training in 2001, Sam undertook a period of advanced training in Paediatric Dentistry and was appointed as a staff specialist and consultant at Westmead Children’s Hospital and Westmead Hospital in 2002. In 2003 Sam relocated back to his home town of Adelaide and started his specialist private practice on South Terrace and was also appointed as a staff specialist at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. In 2004, Sam was appointed as Medical Unit Head, Department of Paediatric Dentistry, Women’s and Children’s Hospital and also Head, Discipline of Paediatric Dentistry, University of Adelaide and later appointed as Associate Professor in Paediatric Dentistry at both the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and University of Adelaide. Sam has been Head of the Department of Paediatric Dentistry since 2004 and has run the specialist training programme in Paediatric Dentistry at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and University of Adelaide. During this period Sam became the inaugural Fellow in the special stream of Paediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the International College of Dental Surgeons and Pierre Fauchard Academy. Sam is also a full member of the Australasian Academy of Paediatric Dentistry, the Australian Dental Association, the Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry, the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Paediatric Dentistry.

Sam has published numerous articles and a chapter in textbook, Clinical Cases in Paediatric Dentistry, has lectured widely and has been awarded several research grants. Sam enjoys all aspects of paediatric dentistry and has the philosophy and providing comprehensive oral management of all children. He has particular interest in the management of medically compromised children, paediatric oral surgery and oral medicine, and children with cleft lip and palate children and craniofacial conditions, but overall he has enormous passion for providing the best possible care for all children. He is also a consultant with the Australian Craniofacial Unit and works actively with many dental and medical colleagues to ensure the best dental care for all children.

Outside dentistry, Sam enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and travelling.
