Dr Charles Daniels grew up in a middle class family, the sixth of seven children where he learned good family values. His motivation is to serve society through the art and science of dentistry- and he has always tried to be the best practitioner he can be to advise and treat his patients in their best interest.

He did well at school and entered Birmingham University with an open scholarship and studied general dentistry qualifying in 1988. He worked for 4 years in his first job as a dentist but soon realized that his calling was to practice orthodontics as a specialist. This decision took him to Cardiff in Wales and a hospital and university career spanning 8 years of full time education, research and teaching. The specialist orthodontic training in Cardiff is one of the longest established and most respected orthodontic training pathways in the UK.

Edgecliff Orthodontics

Dr Christine Underhill established Edgecliff Orthodontics in 1997, seven years after she arrived in Australia. Dr Underhill completed her undergraduate dental training in Cardiff, Wales and then completed her specialist orthodontic program at the Royal London Hospital obtaining her Master of Orthodontics and Membership in Orthodontics at the Royal College of Surgeons England.

After travelling through Asia and Australia Dr Underhill promptly fell in love with Sydney and the Australian way of life and now lives in Bronte with her husband Andy and their two sons. She enjoys Pilates, Yoga, walking her dog ‘Scruffy’, bee keeping and is a keen environmentalist.
