One of the most common ways for couples to meet is online; it appears that this is no different for celebrities. Mandy Moore has recently shared her thoughts on romances that begin online.

The 34 year old actress got married back in November to none other than singer-songwriter Taylor Goldsmith. What many people don’t realize is that the pair met over Instagram after Moore posted a photo of Goldsmith’s album cover in 2015.

Although the pair began their relationship online, the actress admits that back then, she never would have guessed that’s how she would find love. Moore claims that “if someone would have told me three years ago, ‘That’s your future husband, and you’re going to meet him through Instagram,’ I would have thought that they were absolutely bonkers.”

The star went on to say that “It proves that you have to stay open-minded because you just never know.”

The concept of finding love online is becoming more and more popular, with Moore agreeing that “We have a modern kind of love story,”

The ‘This Is Us’ star insists that “We shouldn’t have any judgment about what helps people find one another,” the 34 year old goes on to say that “We live in such a crazy, exhausting world, I think it’s perfectly logical that this is how we connect with each other”.

The actress may have initially found it bizarre that she met her now husband online, but she also acknowledges “It’s how we all communicate now anyway, so it doesn’t feel weird to me that it’s a way you can find a relationship that will really last.”

Despite finding a long term partner on Instagram the actress sees a big benefit in taking time away from the internet “Sometimes we need to just get off the clock and the grind of looking at our phones and feeling like we have to be tethered to the world around us,” she goes on to explain how “When I can put down the phone and take a deep breath, it feeds me.”

The actress also talks about how she has changed as she has got older “I think I have the opposite of FOMO! With age, comes the wisdom that you’re not really missing out on anything.”
