Sally graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2003, on the Dean’s Merit List. She achieved her specialist qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2012, having gained experience in South Australia, Queensland, Darwin and Dublin, Ireland. Sally enjoys teaching and is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Adelaide.
Sally is passionate about pre-pregnancy planning and thorough fertility assessment, with her aim being to only provide advanced treatments, such as IVF, when necessary.

Dr Simona Fisher is a founding member of Adelaide Obstetrics & Fertility.
Originally from New Zealand, she from Auckland University School of Medicine and completed most of her training at New Zealand’s leading Women’s Health Hospital.
Wanting to further her expertise in the areas of laparoscopic surgery, fertility and high risk obstetrics, she moved to Australia in 2008. It was during this time that she fell in love with the city of Adelaide and decided to permanently relocate here with her husband. She is married with two young children.
Her main interests are obstetrics, fertility and IVF, gynaecology, and complex laparoscopic surgery.
She always wanted to be a surgeon—the human body is fascinating. She’s been very fortunate to follow her dream and develop her surgical skills.
One of the most rewarding things for her is when a fertility patient has success—not just getting pregnant, but the whole journey through to delivery and holding their baby in their arms.
She loves helping women by providing them with options and discussing the pros and cons.

North Adelaide Obstetrics & Facility
Dr Carmel Cocchiaro graduated from Medical school at the University of Adelaide in 2003, with a passion and commitment to women’s health. She had the privilege of being involved in hundreds of deliveries, managing the full range of obstetric care; from couples with difficulty falling pregnant, those with recognised severe complications or unexpected complications arising during pregnancies, to those with no issues.
Her advanced training years had a specialist gynaecology focus in the areas of advanced laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery, as well as pelvic floor reconstruction and urogynaecology. Thus allowing her to develop a unique set of skills and foster her interest in these areas.
She continues to hold a consultant position at the Lyell McEwin Hospital, fostering her passion for high risk obstetrics and gynaecology, as well as being involved in teaching junior doctors, as a training supervisor for O&G RANZCOG trainees, helping expand their knowledge in the field of women’s health.
