“The Beyond Burger is absolutely top notch. If you’re a carnivore who’d love to be a bit of a herbivore (but still love the taste of meat) then you should give it a go! I wish more places offered a meat substitute burger.” – Alistair Park
“Excellent vegan burger using the beyond meat patty. Never had it before and they have an entire vegan burger. Perfect for a quick dinner” – Jordon Philips
Miam French Crepes
Miam French Crepes offers crêpes and galettes (savoury buckwheat crêpes) which are the traditional dish from the region of Brittany, though they are very popular all over France, and now worldwide. The savoury buckwheat crêpes are crunchier than the sweet ones and can be filled with vegetables, fish or meat.
Buckwheat is not a cereal, it’s related to sorrels, knotweeds, and rhubarb. It has no gluten and therefore should be suitable for gluten-intolerant people. They say that galettes are 99% gluten free though, as buckwheat can be grown near wheat fields and the wind could bring seeds from one field to another. Buckwheat contains a lot of vitamins, minerals, vegetable based proteins and is very high in carbohydrates (80%) and antioxidants.
Sweet Crepes (Homemade Salted Caramel, Nutella, Homemade Lemon Curd, Maple Syrup, Homemade Raspberry Jam, Tasmanian Honey Sugar), Savoury Crepes (Egg, Ham & Cheese, Spinach, Feta and Pesto, Goat Cheese, Walnuts and Honey, Salmon and Creme Fraiche)
“I usually don’t get crêpes at the market, because they seem… boring? But after trying them at Salamanca, I couldn’t be sorrier for my ignorance! These crêpes are dreamy. Hot, light, chewy, buttery and dangerously addictive, I have since devoured the pesto/spinach/fetta (my FAVE), nutella & strawberries, homemade lemon curd, and just plain with honey. Authentic French crêpes that make you happy <3” – Catie Payne
Taco Taco was born from an idea while Matt and Chris working together and by using an old truck in their dad’s backyard– this is where Hobart’s first food truck emerged in 2013.
