Paws & Relax

The Paws & Relax (P&R) journey was started by Tegan and Annie while working for RSPCA Queensland re-uniting and re-homing animals.  They recognized a need to provide support for the dogs who had found their fur-ever home by providing a safe, loving place for the dogs to hang out while the pet parents were busy at work.

Their concept is to provide a canine kindy that gives the dogs a fun and positive learning experience while building a strong partnership with pet parents and the wider dog-loving community.

Their center has been approved by the Department of State Development Infrastructure and Planning and was officially opened for business on the 31 March 2014.

P&R doesn’t aim to be the biggest day care in Brisbane; its focus is to provide quality care, individual attention and develop a community of dog loving people.  This is reflected in the P&R Mission Statement which is to excel at working with their clients and to make a positive impact on the quality of life for each dog that they serve in a fun and safe environment.

K9Kids Doggy Day Care – The 1,300 square metre K9Kids facility has been designed to provide a safe, stimulating sanctuary for dogs of all shapes and sizes. Five sectioned-off play areas allow their experienced staff to match the right temperaments and sizes together, with each area fitted out with play equipment such as tunnels, ramps, cubby houses and toys. They offer the right environment for pooch to socialise, exercise and play to their heart’s content with the added benefit of giving dog parent and their neighbours a break from the effects of their boredom at home (barking, digging and other destructive behaviours).
