Diane Keaton gets real on being single for 35 years

While most singles are desperately swiping right on Tinder to get dates, Diane Keaton is pretty happy about not going on one for the past 35 years.

The actress got very candid about her love life for a feature with InStyle. Keaton, best known for her role in The Godfather trilogy, admitted she is out of the dating game.

ā€œNever. All right?ā€ Keaton answered, laughing after being asked if sheā€™d been asked out on dates. ā€œLetā€™s just get that straight. That oneā€™s important. I havenā€™t been on a date in, I would say, 35 years.ā€

ā€œNo dates,ā€ the actress added.

And it seems like Keaton doesnā€™t want to be asked out anyway. We stan an independent queen. When asked if she wanted to go on dates she replied, ā€œI have a lot of male friends. I have a lot of friends, but no dates. No mwah-mwah.ā€

Back in May, the actress told People on her disdain about being a wife. ā€œI think that Iā€™m strange,ā€ she shared. ā€œI donā€™t know anything, and I havenā€™t learned. Getting older hasnā€™t made me wiser.ā€

Keaton reflected on marriage or the lack of it in her life. She said, ā€œToday I was thinking about this. Iā€™m 73 and I think Iā€™m the only one in my generation and maybe before who has been a single woman all her life.ā€

The actress had pretty high profile relationships in the past. Notably with Al Pacino, Warren Beatty, and the controversial Woody Allen. Keaton is not at all sad about her status in life.

ā€œ[Iā€™m not sad] because I think that I needed more of a maternal aspect. I donā€™t think it would have been a good idea for me to have married, and Iā€™m really glad I didnā€™t, and Iā€™m sure theyā€™re happy about it, too.ā€
