Actress Chloe Grace Moretz is the victim of a traumatizing event that involved a stalker. The actress and her family are reportedly still shaken after a complete stranger appeared on her doorstep, TMZ reports.

Law enforcement authorities told the celebrity news outlet that a man turned up outside the actress’ Los Angeles home at around midnight last Sunday. He is believed to have driven to her house, parked outside and brazenly knocked on her door asking if she was home.

Fortunately, Chloe’s family was reportedly there to shoo the man away as she was not present at the time. The actress’ family immediately called the cops before the stranger could go far.

Authorities arrived to find the man still sitting inside his car and waiting outside Moretz’ home. He is reportedly taken into custody for charges of misdemeanor trespassing. The man is currently in custody under a USD1,000 bail.

Aside from this incident, the young actress has reportedly had bizarre encounters before. Moretz filed a permanent restraining order against a different stalker back in late 2017. In the same year, she had to call the police over another man who tried to offer her cookies.

Canoe.com reports that the delusional stranger told police he was engaged to the Kickass actress. He went as far as calling the 22-year-old the “love of his life”. Moretz is currently hard at work filming her latest project “Shadow in the Cloud”. The project is a horror flick under the direction of Roseanne Liang. This is after Max Landis was kicked off from the film amid sexual misconduct allegations.
