British heartthrob Sam Claflin joins the cast of ‘Enola Holmes’

Sam Claflin jumps in on the star-studded ship of the upcoming novel-based film, Enola Holmes.

The star who has played roles in The Hunger Games, Me Before You and Love, Rosie is the latest to join the cast of the upcoming film. Director Harry Bradbeer will be directing the Legendary’s newest adventure project film.

He will join Henry Cavill (Superman), Helena Bonham Carter (Ocean’s 8) and Millie Bobby Brown (Godzilla) who is set to play the titular character. The film will be a silver screen adaptation of the Enola Holmes Mysteries book series authored by Nancy Springer.

Multiple news outlets have reported that Cavill will play Sherlock Holmes while Bonham Carter will play Enola’s mother. The film will be closely based on the book series that chronicles the adventures of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes’ youngest sibling, Enola. Their teenage sister turns out to have investigative talents of her own as a detective in her own right.

Scriptwriter Jack Thorne wrote the story involving teenagers who go missing after their father is murdered. It is produced by Legendary Pictures alongside PCMA Productions owned by Brown and her sister, Paige Brown. Overseeing the project will be Ali Mendes and Alex Garcia.

Legendary is producing with Brown and her sister, Paige Brown, via the duo’s PCMA Productions shingle. Alex Garcia and Ali Mendes will oversee the project for Legendary.

Meanwhile, Claflin will next appear in Elizabeth Banks’ Charlie’s Angels reboot as a 4th Bosley. He stars alongside Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska.
