ā€œOne of my favourite book stores in Perth. Centrally located in Perth CBD. Has everything from technical, special interest, fiction, non fiction, art, cooking, spirituality, religion, history, you name it. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and are happy to make recommendations, which is a great asset. I never walk out empty handed!ā€ ā€“ David Oā€™DonnellĀ

Dymocks

Dymocks is considered to be the countryā€™s greatest bookstore. It has been in the industry since 1879 and founded by William Dymock. During those time, he is one of the premier bookstores that provided wide array of books for all ages. His business grew and sold millions of books. However, William died at an early age leaving all his fortunes and business to his sister, Marjory, who was married to John Forsyth. With that, John became the sole owner of Dymocks. Just like William, John shares the same purpose in running the bookstore ā€“ to provide education to all people. Up until now, Dymocks continues to serve the people of Australia and have also offered new products like stationery and gift cards.

Planet Books is established on Beaufort Street in 1990. At first, they offer a variety of books genres for all kinds of readers. But after a few years, they introduced music and film pieces to their store. In 2006, they added another section on their store ā€“ collectables and giftware items.
