The Piercing Shop – Opened in 1994 by Lynette Rose, The Piercing Shop was the first official piercing shop in Queensland. Lynette was a self taught piercer whose fascination and perfectionism quickly turned her piecing hobby into an obsession and a prolific career. She broadened her knowledge and experience while road tripping around the USA during the piercing boom. When Lynette returned home to Australia she opened a small home business in her garage and The Piercing Shop began.

The business continued to grow and soon had to move into a professional store front, hiring staff and training a new generation of piercers, overcoming Brisbane’s initial scepticism of the demand for body piercing. Despite Lynette’s passing in 2015 her influence, experience, and enthusiasm for piercing have remained constant in their studio.

The Piercing shop’s prestigious legacy continues though their piercers Ana & Jackie, who apprenticed under Lynette. Having become accomplished piercers in their own right, the two have over 30 years of piercing experience combined and have brought The Piercing Shop into a new era.
