Can Tho Kitchen
Can Tho Kitchen is founded by the couple Vien and Thao, situated in the Gold Coast. Their restaurant came from a rich history of their family. Back then in the 1980s, their parents were Vietnamese refugees that came to Australia and to start a new life, their parents had multiple jobs and life still goes on. Both Vien and Thao had experienced helping and assisting their parents at a young age in restaurants.
From their experiences, they were able to learn everything about the restaurant business, from providing the highest quality meals and to managing everything. Their parents taught them well especially the secret in creating excellent dishes. They established their restaurant in the hopes of making Northern Gold Coast as one of the places to visit for an exceptional dining experience.

“Can Tho Kitchen was recommended by a work colleague and it did not disappoint! Service was amazing – our server was the bomb diggity! Food was so delicious, so much to choose from on the menu, gluten free options as well and the atmosphere was great. I’d recommend a group of 4 or more people, order lots of dishes and just share the love. There were lots of happy diners. Lotus chips are an absolute must and the Gaytime Bao, seriously, you have to! A Hidden little gem in Runaway Bay. I highly recommend.” – Chrissie Butler

“Unexpectedly amazing food and experience. Very accommodating to squeeze us and a baby in on Mother’s Day. The food was probably the best Vietnamese we’ve had. The service was exceptional, friendly and relaxed. Would drive all the way from Brisbane just for a nice meal with the family. Thank you.” – Ben French

“Best pho on the coast. I really love the quality of the rice noodle, and they served it always with basil and beans sprout and I could tasted the freshness of the noodle how silky smooth it is …Some restaurant they swap basil with some other herbs and they used dried noodle instead of fresh noodle. I don’t understand why they need to close down and I hope one day I will be informed whenever they decide to restart the business again.” – Sylvia Lin
