The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel
The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel had a history as fascinating as that of Hobart, Tasmania itself. The hotel deals at The Old Woolstore make it easy to save on accommodation, enjoy upgrades and gain access to some of Hobart’s hottest attractions.
Today, the hotel is located close to the historic waterfront in the Hobart CBD on land originally known as Wapping and later referred to as Sullivan’s Cove. The site was first occupied by shanty housing before being turned into a wool storage and treatment facility around the turn of the 20th century. Roberts Ltd, an agricultural company, operated the wool and grain store. Wool was brought from all over Tasmania to be pressed and then shipped from Hobart’s bustling port.
