Dr Jason Galanos (MBBS (Hons), B.Med.Sci., FRACP) graduated from the University of Melbourne with First Class Honours in 2000, first in Medicine. He subsequently completed his specialist physician training in Endocrinology at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne.

In 2008, He received a prestigious National Health Medical Research Council grant to undertake a research fellowship in novel therapies for the treatment of Diabetic kidney disease at University of Melbourne and St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada.

He is in full time, private, clinical practice. He is accredited at St Vincent’s, Epworth and Cabrini Private Hospitals, providing inpatient endocrine care.

Central Melbourne Endocrinology

Dr Camela Caputo commenced consulting in 2008, and her clinical and research interest is in the area of Pituitary diseases. Having undertook endocrine training in London and returning to Australia in 2008 as clinical fellow at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, she continues in the Pituitary clinic and undertakes clinical research. She is chairperson of the Victorian/Tasmanian Pituitary Interest group and is involved with education with the Australian Pituitary Foundation.

She is able to speak Italian and happy to see other endocrine conditions. However, she is no longer seeing patients for primary diabetes management.

Melbourne Thyroid Centre

Dr. Simon Forehan is the medical director of The Melbourne Thyroid Centre. He is a graduate of Flinders University of South Australia and completed his specialist training in Adelaide and Melbourne.  He has dual training in Endocrinology and General Medicine, and was admitted as a Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2004.

Dr. Forehan has developed a special interest in disorders of the thyroid which is the primary focus of his clinical practice.  He is one of few endocrinologists in Australia to perform thyroid ultrasound.  He has additional training and expertise in medical disorders in pregnancy having trained at The Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne and has a keen interest in thyroid disorders in pregnancy.

In addition to his private practice, Dr Forehan is a Visiting Medical Officer at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Royal Women’s Hospital and The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.  He also visits central Australia to provide Endocrine services at The Alice Springs Hospital.
