Founder Mark Dance was working in the natural resource sector where he encountered challenges with delivering essential supplies. Often he resorted to hiring town locals to carry out transport in exchange for beer. Desperate times called for drastic actions.
Having left the industry to be closer to his family in Hobart, the logistics pain point that Mark had to tackle frequently became the Rocketeer Courier mission. Over two years of concept development, 70,000 km of courier driving, 30,000 packages delivered and after 12 months of software development, he finally had a working version of his mobile application.
The app was born out of a desire to make the whole process seamless and today; we have over 140 drivers with 60 of them active at any one-time servicing Hobart.
