Dobinsons opened their doors to the community in 1994 to offer Canberrans a generous selection of quality Australian bakery items in a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere. Their success at Dobinsons Canberra is due to the culmination of 5 generations of hard working and dedicated pastry chefs who all greatly contributed the Dobinsons family legacy of producing the delicious and finest quality pastries. This great tradition began somewhere in Northern New South Wales where the first Dobinsons bakery rocked the town of Kyogle over 125 years ago.

Three Mills Bakery
Three Mills Bakery early days (like many small businesses starting out) were about working with what they had, which meant sharing their space and a tiny cool room with the Chefs, bartenders, the coffee crew and events team. In the end, they had bread stuffed into every crevice of that cool room to the point where they couldn’t actually get in the door without first removing something. It was time to look for a new home for their sourdough… Jarrod, armed with a credit card and a few bits of old equipment (and Justin), bid farewell to the restaurant business. Thanks to a few great mates, they moved the entire bakery out of the basement and across town to the airport in only one day so they didn’t leave their wholesale clients without bread. Three Mills Bakery was born out of a great vision to work with three different grain suppliers to continue their quest for world class sourdough and pastry products. Fast forward a few years and their days of carrying products up and down from the basement and doing deliveries in the old Subaru are thankfully behind them!

“The team a Three Mills are a cut above the rest. The coffee is made with skill and precision and the food, well you should try it yourself – it’s great. Emma, despite her youth, makes the vibe cool, yet professional. The atmosphere is great with the tunes pumping all the time. “-Murray Brisett
