Actor behind Jack Skellington wants a Nightmare Before Christmas sequel

The Nightmare Before Christmas easily became a holiday classic, either for Halloween or Christmas. That’s right, you get to choose. The film has received a cult following since it came out in 1993. Now that the small and big screens are being bombarded with reboots, remakes, and spin-offs, people are wondering if the classic will get its own treatment.

While fans aren’t quite keen on the idea of a sequel or a live-action remake, the film hasn’t been safe on the rumor mill. To be fair, every film and tv show out there that was made before 2010 has been brought to the table for discussion. While making a sequel to cult classics like Nightmare Before Christmas is always a terrible idea, there are others who disagree.

In this case, the man behind Jack Skellington himself would be thrilled for the movie to have a sequel. Chris Sarandon, who lent his speaking voice to the iconic character, had something to say about returning for a sequel. And it’s not something one might expect. Speaking to Comicbook.com Sarandon said:

“I’d crawl on my hands and knees, from the East Coast to the West Coast, in the spring or the fall, to do it again. Of course, I would. I love that character and I love that I’m part of a legacy of that character as well.”

Well, ain’t that a passionate anecdote? Not only is he on board to do a sequel, he even says he’ll definitely go for a good crawl to make it happen.
