Acclaimed filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is going to be a father soon.

The director of smash hits and cult classics is expecting his first child with his Israeli wife, Daniella Tarantino as reported by Entertainment Tonight.

The couple’s reps released a statement to People regarding the exciting news. “Daniella and Quentin Tarantino are very delighted to announce that they are expecting a baby.” Tarantino met his wife, then Daniella Pick, while he was promoting his 2009 film Inglourious Basterds in Israel. The couple dated on again and off again prior to getting engaged in 2017.

The pair got hitched in November last year in a secret wedding at Tarantino’s home in Los Angeles, California. The wedding reception was reportedly held at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills. As expected, the filmmaker’s guest list was star-studded and their wedding was attended by Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman, and Samuel L. Jackson.

Tarantino gushed about his wife while promoting his most recent film Once Upon A Time in Hollywood at the Cannes Film Festival back in May. He said about her during a press conference:

“Well, I can honestly say that my taking stock is different than it would have been three years ago or four years ago, or even 10 years ago …Because I just got married six months ago. …And I’ve never done that before and now I know why I was waiting for the perfect girl.”

The director previously said that he would his lifestyle and career was not fit for a family man, but it looks like all that will change from now on.
