White Chicks 2 is a no-go according to Marlon Wayans

Well, at least not yet. So hold on to your poodles because the 2004 comedy won’t be getting a sequel until Marlon Wayans has a deal in place.

Fans of the movie White Chicks were beyond excited when Terry Crews publicly claimed that part 2 was in the works. But despite the actor’s claims, Wayans has downplayed the news on social media.

On Instagram, Wayans cleared the air on the issue by posting a pic of his character as Tiffany Wilson. The photo was taken from a clip of the dressing room scene and shows a cringed-out Tiffany. In the caption, Wayans clarified that Crews was getting ahead of himself writing:

“My face when @terrycrews tells the world #whitechicks2 is happening but we still don’t have a deal in place… now every fanworld wise dms excitedly “IS THIS TRUE”?! Um… NO! Not yet.”

Still, fans are hopeful that White Chicks 2 will eventually hit the screens. It looks like cast members from the original film including Busy Philipps and Crew are definitely on board. Despite the lack of critical acclaim White Chicks went on to receive a solid cult following over the years. While news of a sequel was announced back in 2009, it never pushed through much to the dismay of fans.

Hopefully, Wayans finds the right production company to back the project sooner than later. White Chicks was directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans and co-starred Shawn Wayans. If the sequel pushes through this time, we’ll be seeing the three brothers back on the big screen.
