Trevor Noah has a new comedy series in the works for Quibi

“The busiest man in comedy” just got busier. “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah is joining the growing pool of creatives at Quibi.

Noah is joining forces with his home network Comedy Central to produce a comedy series for the upcoming mobile-only streaming platform. The comedian and television personality is also set to star in the forthcoming project. Produced by Comedy Central Productions and Day Zero Productions, the show will chronicle Noah’s journey in his worldwide stand-up tour.

As per an official description for the show reported by Variety:

“Trevor will give Quibi’s audience an unprecedented peek at his candid interactions with the people he meets and the incredible places he visits along the way. We’ll learn how these moments influence his unique point of view and affect his stand up in each city.”

Executive producing the show alongside the comedian is Bob Bain (Bob Bain Productions), Haroon Saleem (Day Zero Productions), Derek Van Pelt, Norman Aladjem and Sanaz Yamin (all from his reps, Mainstay Entertainment).

The project is the latest added to Quibi’s lineup of short-form content. The video platform currently based in Hollywood, Los Angeles is slated for an April 2020 release. Quibi has been attracting big names in entertainment to join in on their creative team. This includes acclaimed directors Steven Spielberg, Guillermo del Toro, and Steven Soderbergh.

Its other notable partners include Jason Blum (Blumhouse Productions), Antoine Fuqua (Fuqua Films), Sam Raimi (Ghost House Pictures, Renaissance Pictures) and Stephen Curry (Unanimous Media).

Joining in on the fun are Anna Kendrick, Tyra Banks, Idris Elba, Chrissy Teigen, and Don Cheadle.
