Shania Twain opens up about husband Frédéric Thiébaud

Iconic country musician Shania Twain is sharing what her romantic life is like with her husband of nine years, Frédéric Thiébaud.

The lovely couple tied the knot in Puerto Rico back in 2011. Now, Twain is sharing the two factors that make their relationship work after all these years. The multi-Grammy Award-winning singer spoke to People during the annual Go Red For Women Red Dress Collection fashion hosted by the American Heart Association in New York City.

When asked about what fuels their affection for each other, she answered, “Faith and love.”  The songbird was caught in a whirlwind love affair with Thiébaud after her previous husband Mutt Lange allegedly cheated on her with Thiébaud’s ex-wife, Marie-Anne. Marie-Anne was a good friend of Twain at the time.

As for how the “Still The One” singer recovered after her experience of a painful betrayal, she says:

“I’m so grateful I found the faith and courage to love again — because the last thing you want to do when you’re crushed is love again.”

“When you have a great loss, you lose faith; you get very discouraged,” she continued to reflect.

Twain stepped back from the music scene for 15 years before making her return in 2017 with her studio album titled “Now”. The star is currently back for a second Las Vegas residency and is absolutely embracing her return onstage.

“I have more appreciation for it than ever,” she says about returning to the spotlight to perform. Recently, she presented an award at last month’s Grammy Awards.
