It seems like Bella Hadid is not over Selena Gomez dating her ex-boyfriend The Weeknd. Her reaction to the sweet message that Gomez posted on Instagram was pretty over the top.

So just as a quick refresher, Hadid and Gomez both dated The Weeknd in 2015 and 2017 respectively, then Hadid got back with the singer again up until recently. A representative from The Weeknd’s team said just last month that while the two are not currently dating, the former couple is extremely friendly to each other. With The Weeknd even attending the model’s birthday party last month.

Gomez and Hadid weren’t obviously friends during this time, as evidenced on social media where they all unfollowed each other until a couple of weeks ago when Gomez started following Hadid out of the blue on Instagram after unfollowing the model two years ago and social media sleuths took notice immediately.

Gomez then went right instead of going left when she commented on one of Hadid’s photos saying ‘stunning’ with a heart eyes emoji. Fans became so intrigued and things just got spicier. The model immediately responded to the sweet gesture by deleting the entire post. Maybe Hadid just didn’t like the picture for whatever reason, but it’s more than likely that she got pissed by the singer trying to become friendly with her again on social media.

After a fan posted a screenshot of the post before Hadid deleted it and mentioned that Gomez was all about supporting women, the singer commented on that same fan post by replying ‘that sucks’ coupled with a sad crying face emoji.

People are now wondering what The Weeknd, real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye have to say to all of these beef brewing between the two women, but the singer earlier this month deactivated his Instagram account which fans think is a publicity stunt for his upcoming album and is not related to the two women’s ongoing drama.

There is clear that there is animosity between the two women and it is hard to digest especially for Gomez’ and Hadid’s fans, but you really can’t blame these celebrities having a tough time trying to be nice to each other when a lot has happened between them over the last couple of years.

The Weeknd and Hadid first started dating back in 2015, was one of the hottest young couples in Hollywood and have attended a lot of events together with Hadid even being featured in one of her ex-boyfriend’s music videos. The former couple broke up for a bit but were already back together in time for the 2016 Grammys.

The couple then ended the relationship explaining busy schedules as the reason for the break-up. The Weeknd was then spotted kissing Selena Gomez a couple of months later with Gomez, not shying away from the attention with her new boyfriend at the time sharing to various interviews about their new relationship.
