Rapper Lil Nas X says he’s “not mad at Kevin Hart”

Lil Nas X says there’s no beef between him and Kevin Hart. His comments come a week after the comedian sparked backlash for interrupting the rapper as he talked about coming out as gay on an episode of HBO’s “The Shop”.

The “Old Town Road” hitmaker recently appeared on the “Hoodrich Radio” in Atlanta, Georgia to address the matter, TMZ reports. In a clip shared by the celebrity news outlet, Lil Nas X is seen answered when he was asked to set the record straight if he was mad at Hart for his seemingly disrespectful responses.

“No, no, no. I’m not mad at Kevin Hart, “the “Panini” rapper answered. The artist then went on to explain that he doesn’t dive into detail regarding rumors and controversies.

“I don’t try to get into these situations, ’cause, online, I’m just here to be funny and laugh… so I’m not trying to get into all these issues,” he tells Hoodrich Radio.

He then points out the tendency that outlets will misinterpret anything he says about the matter.

“I’m not trying to say anything, ’cause if you say anything, your words get twisted, then you have to say something about that… and just on and on. So, I don’t even try to get into anything really.”

When the hosts of the radio show suggested that the public shouldn’t take offense at Hart’s interruption because he doesn’t, the musician says:

“I’m not saying what anybody should be.”

It seems the young rapper wants you to feel however you want about the issue, as long as you count him out of it.
