Netflix Original Film for the young adult film Let It Snow featuring several of today’s rising stars from various hit movies.

The Netflix original film is based on the best-selling anthology written by Maureen Johnson (The Key to the Golden Firebird), Lauren Myracle (Shine) and John Green (The Fault in our Stars). The movie is set in some small midwestern town and the story begins when this town is hit by a snowstorm on a Christmas Eve.

According to Elite Daily, the movie sends the same vibe like the famous English Christmas-themed romantic-comedy movie, Love Actually. It has the same ingredients of comedy, romance, festive atmosphere and intertwining stories of several couples. However, unlike the said English movie, this coming-of-age film features the tales of love of three high school senior couples.

The Let It Snow trailer features Bleacher’s Don’t Take  the Money. It opened with Shameik Moore’s (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) character describing how he finds the town beautiful and how it resembles a “perfect holiday card.” Isabela Merced’s (Dora and the Lost City of Gold) character will then countered “Snow hides a lot. It’s like a space of weather.” Meanwhile, Angie, played by Kiernan Shipka (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Tobin, portrayed by Mitchell Hope from Descendants are longtime friends whose relationship seemed to be evolving into something else.

The Netflix film also featured the story of Dorrie, played by Liv Hewson of Santa Clarita Diet and Before I Fall, who is starting to fall for another girl. She can be seen in the trailer talking to Jacob Batalon’s (Spider-Man: Far From Home) character, asking him if he had ever experienced talking to someone until 4 in the morning and then wondered how surreal it is that they get to exist at the same time as that someone they were talking to. And since this is a romantic-comedy, Batalon answered in the classic fashion, “No,” and added that he was really happy about Dorrie all the same.

Odeya Rush from Lady Bird and Dumplin’ and Joan Cusack from Toy Story 4  and A Series of Unfortunate Events also joins the cast to deliver a feel-good movie for Christmastime.

Meanwhile, the director, Luke Snellin told Teen Vogue that the holiday season is that one time in a year that “feels full of possibility.” He said that anything is possible to happen, especially romance. It could be rekindling a past romance with an old flame back home or start a new story with a new someone.

Netflix will release the young adult film, Let It Snow, on November 8, 2019.
